2004 SAGs

Michelle Williams and Bobby Cannavale

They were in The Station Agent together and dated very briefly. She looks VERY Jen Lindley here and this is not her best hair choice.

Heath Ledger and Naomi Watts

I forgot they dated! Fellow Aussies in love. She looks lovely and VERY 2004; he has failed to shine his shoes.

Allison Janney

DISHY and timeless; she could wear this now.

Elisabeth Rohm

Somewhere, Jennifer Lopez was like, "HELLO, this is MY caftan?!"

Lisa Kudrow

This feels like she styled herself -- not in a bad way.

Kim Cattrall

Never forget how much we loved a shiny fabric in 2004.

Kristin Davis

This is really pretty on her; the shoes might be weird but...it was 2004. We wore weird shoes.

Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis

As you can see, they won; SJP doesn't appear to have been present. Cynthia looks...fine! KD might take this one by a hair.

Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones

I remembered this one! It seems like it might have been damp this year, since everyone's hair feels a bit...like it was damp out. CZJ, obviously, looks glam as hell.

Gary Dourdan

More hats on red carpets!

Amber Tamblyn

I don't love the boning here, but that's a nitpick; overall, she looks quite dreamy.

Jennifer Garner

She ALSO looks great. (This was also a time where people's makeup did not always jibe with the camera.)

Marg Helgenberger

I forgot this and it's honestly really good.

Maria Bello

This is ALSO great.

Charlize Theron

YOU ARE TOO TAN CHARLIZE.

Lauren Ambrose

Simple, but effective; I do want to blot a lot of people's foreheads here.

Patricia Clarkson

What a dish!

Rachel Griffiths

She had very recently had a baby; I do think her stylist could have done better by her, though -- this color is just not great.

Kathryn Morris

This dress is pleasantly funky and this also brought me back to how I spent a LOT of the early aughts bewailing the things they did to Kathryn Morris's hair. Just let this woman have a pixie cut!

Elizabeth Banks

This is fairly great, as column dresses go.

Mariska Hargitay

I wish this were a color.

Holly Hunter

This is not bad, as these things go, but it is VERY of its time.

Djimon Hounsou

Dishy!

Patricia Heaton

This REALLY needs a small hoik, but otherwise...I kinda love it.

Justina Machado

She's great, but this has aged very matronly. I'm a little worried that the women of Six Feet Under didn't get sufficient help from HBO to really nail this event.
