2006 Brought Us the Premiere of She's the Man

Amanda Bynes

This needs a bit of a hoik, obviously, and it does feel very Destination Wedding 2006, but she also looks adorable here.

Channing Tatum looks THE SAME, nearly fifteen years later.

"Jessica Lucas's dress feels very inspired by Kate Middleton's engagement dress," is a thing I said to myself before I realized that hadn't even happened yet and that in 2005, Wills and Kate were stressed out because the press was all in a tizz that she'd gone to Klosters with the royals. Then I remembered this was actually 2006, but I'm sure the press was still in a tizz about something the next year.

Let me tell you one thing: It is A MIRACLE that Haylie did not belt this. We LIVED for a needless belt in 2006.

We also did a lot of weird things with our proportions in 2006.

Tanya has since sadly died, and I suspect she may appear to me in a vision tonight to disavow this denim choice.

We also loved ultimately sort of cheap-feeling blazers in 2006. I FOR SURE wore this outfit to something myself.

Garcelle, meanwhile, looks absolutely stellar. (She attended a lot of these events because her husband at the time was a big deal agent at CAA.)

She's very good in this movie, and hasn't worked a ton since 2015; I hope she's okay. She looks great in this and could easily wear it now.

With some styling tweaks, she could re-wear this today, too.

Timeless! Of course!
