Correctly, many of the people who attended this event decided "Anglomania" meant RUFFLES and/or went for a sort of vaguely Regency-romance sort of jam. I love Joy; I once talked to her at a party about the importance of a cross-body bag at cocktail events because they make it easier for you to eat and drink, and then I went home and bought a Chanel one because that's what she was using. (I had had A LOT of aperol spritzes.) (I also returned it, as I do not have Buy Chanel on a Whim money!) Anyway, also it's hard to tell here, but her dress was a very delicate lavendar.
