I want to look like this every single day in 2016.

And I'd like to look at this every single day in 2016, ideally as he returns to the glorious London flat where we have built a life together.

Everything about this is great. (Maybe especially the bag, but definitely including the coat.)

There is a lot of Kate in this slideshow, because Kate wears good coats, and I like them. I want this one for my own self.

I probably DON'T need this one, though it does match my (MIRACULOUS) slippers, which plug into my laptop and HEAT UP.

I appreciate that Kate Bosworth used 2015 as a year to transition into looking vaguely like a wacky old lady.

The lining of this is just sooooo cozy.

I know this is a man's coat, but whatever. I want it.

It's no surprise that Dita's coat game is STRONG.

Love the darker grey lapel on this one.

This is great on her, despite also being basically crazy.

I also want this trench. Say what you will about Anna, she wears a good coat.

Sometimes, you're in the mood for something a little military-inspired...

...or for a glorious cape.

Dita, again, brings the Airport Coat glamour.

Is it weird that I can also imagine this coat on SWINTON?

Do I need a shiny pink bomber jacket, like an updated Pink Lady? Don't answer that.

This is, as H pointed out originally, VERY 70s glam. I have a weakness for a camel-colored coat.

Ditto.

Okay, what's under the coat is AWFUL. But the coat itself should not be blamed for this!

I just want to touch this one.

Everything about this makes me chuckle. She really is fearless.

Ignore everything but the coat. WANT.

Um, also ignore everything but the coat here. (I don't know, Gaga. I just don't know.)

...presented without comment.

My comment here is YES.

Those fur sleeves are delectably cozy.

This is very Muppets Take Fashion Week.

Now we've entered the bathrobe portion of this post...

I legitimately want this as a bathrobe. It's SO COZY.

If you're a regular reader, you know how I feel about this color combo. (Very positively.)

This is classic and perfect.

This is classically misguided.

Dana Scully is looking GOOD, you guys.

And Rey cleans up extremely well.

Lupita, no surprise, wears a coat extremely well.

This is perhaps my favorite photo of the year. He looks like a gold prospector with a heart of gold.

PONCHO MADNESS, with Sharon Stone. Tonight at midnight on QVC!

I just desperately need a coat in this color.

The award for Excellence In Dramatic Capes: Tall Division, goes to the divine Ms Christie.

Remember when T Swizzle went through that equestrienne period?

I dig both of these examples of fine outerwear.

She is just looking for her Jason Momoa, you guys. (Aren't we all?)

I LOVE this coat in Kate, but also wanted to sneak in the boys in their uniforms. I'm human.

Wearing the hood up, on the red carpet, is the opposite of subtle.

This might be the most glamorous and fabulous Sophie Wessex has ever looked.

This coat was divisive the first time we wrote about it, but I continue to love it.

HOLA LOVER.

This photo dates from last January, and in the post I asked Princess Charlene to make 2015 a good year. And I think she did it! Keep up the strong work, lady.

This is deliciously glam.

This coat is so simple and so good.

While this is just so good.

DITTO.

Good show, everyone! Let's keep the Good Coat Train rolling this year.
