You know my favorite genre of celebrity outfit, and of soap opera, is Showing Up At The Funeral and/or Deathbed Of Your Mortal Enemy and Pulling All The Focus. With the number of times various DiMeras -- usually Stefano -- have died on Days, I am so sad Beyonce never arrived dressed like this so that she could touch the coffin and hiss, "Rot in hell... FATHER."

And Selma could stand up and say, "Don't say that TO MY LOVER," before running up and ripping off her sleeve and throwing it into the open coffin.

"If he's YOUR lover, then why am I having his BABY?" Olivia will say, but mostly people will be fixating on the fact that her dress has its own gloves built in.

"This is the best funeral I have EVER been to, although I think this blouse went to two real corkers in the 1980s."

Michelle's character has clearly been making appearances all across town pretending to be her own twin sister -- who is probably languishing in the famed Pine Valley well, where Janet stashed Natalie for so long -- and this is the scene where she gets caught between changes.

Laverne would just like them to stop talking so she can get on with the ceremony, as she's got three other funerals today and she has to save at LEAST one of "dead" from getting cremated alive.

"But aha! I'm not dead! I, Stoke Wellington, am actually Stefano in disguise!"

"It's true. I pulled his spirit out of the hellmouth that lives in my abdomen."

"And we put it in our cauldron with some Ikea furniture instructions and some old CK underwear ads."

"IT IS HIM. I have read it in the tea leaves!"

If you've read The Royal We, I suspect that's the panther that knows too much from Devour.

They're just dressed as the art direction for the opening credits.

Ciara is just here for the Forrester Creations fashion show, but someone had directed her to the wrong network lot.

None of this feels like it goes together, but she looks great in it, somehow.

It's nice to see that Heidi HAS branched out into more structural and interesting things, but Mouret has never been my favorite. SO much of his stuff looks like aimless napkin folding to me.

She looks fantastic in that, unsurprisingly.

I laugh out loud every time I am reminded those shoes exist. They are bunny slippers of a different flavor.

I love this. Does she need a necklace of some sort?

Her earrings are real flowers, her shoes are super cute, and her dress looks like a new water feature at the Bellagio.

This felt a little mumsy on her at the time, and I am landing there again now. At the very least, it's just not quite her dress.

In 2016, Jessica wondered if, in the fullness of time, LC would come to regret that lipstick. I wonder if she is regretting that both the blazer and the dress seem too long.

Are those bugs? Mustaches? False eyelashes? ALL THREE?

"Yes, I DID forget about this until ten minutes ago, and this IS the first thing I saw in a store window.

This works better than it should.

Did she and Karlie go to the same hairstylist, and was it someone based at 24-Hour Fitness?

That top looks like when a person puts their arms through the t-shirt sleeves and then pauses to have a conversation before pulling it on over their head.

That's quite gorgeous.

There is a lot of golden hair in this photo, and much of it is her sleeves.

It's a beautiful shower-curtain liner, and I would hang that up for sure.

At the time we though thought this was a little drab, and it is, but I think by now we'd give it a Well Played because she's worn so much worse.

A sartorial ode to smoke rings.

I'm going to venture a guess that absolutely NOBODY knew where this outfit was headed while in development, including the designers.

It's like the gown form of her red tube dress from Clueless. That's not a bad thing, by the way.

She looks unhappy that the seams in the dress were not actually dotted lines for cutting things out.

This dress is okay; the front looks a bit like it's making her a human-size charity ribbon. But who even cares, because once she got inside...

... she got to do THIS. THAT is the person in the soap opera who storms into her own funeral and announces EXACTLY who tried to kill her. And I love it.
