This... hmm. Sometimes I look at it and think it's pretty on her -- those EYES -- but mostly I come back to my original feeling that Erdem wants to start doing Regency costume dramas. Caroline Bingley would be SCANDALIZED by that decolletage. But otherwise, it's just very bland. Michelle Dockery may not get it right all the time, but at least she's got a sense of her own scope and stature. Turn it UP, Claire. Because you CAN.

That's very cute. This photo was originally captioned as Amy Adams. To me she looks like a mix of Amy and Emily Blunt. So I guess there are your Bennet sisters, Erdem.

Aw.

The cut of this dress is... not great. But I like that pattern-wise it's TRYING something full-volume, even if Claire herself seems utterly flummoxed by the fact that it is on her body. I'm guessing this is all super overwhelming for her -- she's not new to red carpets, but she's new to the heat of this kind of spotlight -- and now I actually DO want all the Downtonites to take her out for Champagne and a pep talk.

Seriously, she looks SO different as a honey-blond, to me. It's amazing what hair and makeup and acting can do. You notice more, now that she's letting loose a full smile, just how much she controls her face when she's playing QEII. It's giving me a new appreciation for that work.
