We covered[ The Best of the British Royals in 2018 yesterday](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/2018-was-a-very-big-year-for-the-british-royals-12-2018/) \-- so today, let's turn our eagle eyes to the rest of the royals. As I mentioned yesterday, this is just an Overview of Highlights, so if I forgot your favorite moment, please do not make me your Forever Enemy! (Although I must admit that I DID almost forget Crown Princess Victoria's Nobel Prize dress, and that would have been INSANITY.) I grouped people by color and pattern in this post, and it proved surprisingly illuminating -- it turns out Queen Mathilde, for instance, had a SURPRISINGLY wacky year. Let's get into it!

Also, in case you missed it earlier this year, [I wrote a giant Queen Maxima retrospective that you might enjoy!](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/queen-maxima-style-retrospective-10-2018/)
