I predicted, this past week, that Gaga was going to wear Valentino Couture to the Oscars, but I forgot that we had to get through the SAGs first -- this is also from Couture Week, but it is Dior. (My take on it was an eloquent and loquacious "sure!" Which is actually how I still feel about it.)

Yes, those are some bloomers peeking out of that slit. My take on this, truly, is "I'm kinda surprised Jennifer Lawrence didn't wear this one," and also "I think Gaga knows she's not winning an Acting Oscar." She looks fine, though!

My take on this when we saw it was, "ugh, this is terrifically glam" and I STAND BY THAT. It IS glam and it is also terrific.

I love this snap of her and stylist Karla Welch from Karla's Instagram, and I wish they'd left the black band off the dress. (I get that it's more BORING without the band, but it's confusing with it.)

Honestly, a lot of these women feel like they're just taking a wee breather between the Globes and the Oscars here -- and, frankly, they probably are.
