The lighting in this shot is weird for some reason and I can assure you that Elaine May is not actually vaguely green. I can also assure you that her dress was a long black column and she looked very elegant, and her speech was quite funny, as you'd hope.

DING DONG! This is quite dishy on Janet and good costume-y fun. (It also fits her like a dream.) She spent much of her Albert Nobbs awards circuit tour wearing Serious Black Gowns With Sleeves that whenever I see her go Full Bombshell, I am surprised. I think Janet McTeer might be...nutty?
Laurie Metcalf in custom Khaite
I hope she keeps this so she can repurpose it as Princess Leia costume come Halloween. (That is a compliment! She looks great! I kind of wish the bag were green.)
Laura Donnelly in Marchesa
Laura Donnelly plays Jenny on Outlander and missed all of this previous season because she was in The Ferryman. I know she was DEEPLY MISSED on the show and I just HOPE IT WAS WORTH IT, LAURA. This Marchesa might be a little overworked for my blood.

I didn't get a red carpet shot of this look, but the top was a bit snug, that I could tell from the telecast. Having said that, this color is GREAT on her.
Annette Bening in Michael Kors and Warren Beatty
Annette looks totally reasonable, but you KNOW she's got some major jewels at home in the vault and that neckline is calling out for them. Look at Warren! HE AGREES.
