She knows how to seize a moment. This is delightful and bright and bold and above all SPECIAL. It's one of those you know she will remember forever and I hope she puts it on several times a year just to watch Hallmark movies or do a puzzle.

It had such captivating movement to it, as well. She was full of vim and I love it.

That is the polar opposite of Nicole's dress in every way but hue -- very simple, very streamlined. I love the color on her, but I won't remember it tomorrow. And that's okay; sometimes that's all a presenter wants. Show up, don't alarm anyone, go home, put on slippers.

I am pretty sure Angela Bassett is on a very very short list of people who could wear a ruffle that looks like a giant question mark and have me say, "Yes, okay!" She is the ANSWER to whatever question it's asking.

I'm sure it was weird for all the Hamilton nominees, who are clearly aware that most people think it's CRAZY that Hamilton was nominated for an Emmy when it was a 2016 live show recorded for release in movie theaters that got kicked to Disney+ due to a pandemic. Like, they would NOT have gotten nominated for Oscars for that, would they, if it had gone theatrical?!? The Globes, yes, because that's who they are, but. Anyway. It won, so! Congrats. Everyone on Broadway, record your shows!!!!! (That's actually a serious request, though, because I would wait four years to see some of these original casts. ALSO you might win Emmys.)
