(Also I learned that I guess they're calling it a Moon Person now. And have been since 2018? Where....have I been.) ANYWAY he looks great in this suit, no matter what jokes I might have wanted to make. ## Halle Bailey (in Monôt) and Chloe Bailey (in Marni) ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/09/shutterstock_editorial_12439061oq-1631494986.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Matt Baron/Shutterstock (12439061oq) Halle Bailey and Chloe Bailey MTV Video Music Awards, Arrivals, New York, USA - 12 Sep 2021 Halle Bailey is a dish, obviously, but this new trend of Boob Suspenders has me shaking in my boots because it WILL go wrong for someone. Here, she basically looks like a babe who might have put her dress on backward. I love that Chloe Bailey is wearing Marni, because we rarely see that line on the red carpet, but I'd be lying if I didn't say that I DID think of the Iconic Jiffy Pop Popcorn Experience when I saw this. ## Chloe Bailey in Marni ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/09/shutterstock_editorial_12441506fo-1631495007.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Evan Agostini/Invision/AP/Shutterstock (12441506fo) Chloe Bailey arrives at the MTV Video Music Awards at Barclays Center, in New York 2021 MTV Video Music Awards - Arrivals, New York, United States - 12 Sep 2021 I do love that the inside is lined in gold. (And if wedges are back, that's good news for those of us who never got rid of our wedges.) ## Leslie Grace in Oscar de la Renta ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/09/shutterstock_editorial_12439060bq-1631494954.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Stephen Lovekin/Shutterstock (12439060bq) Leslie Grace MTV Video Music Awards, Arrivals, New York, USA - 12 Sep 2021 This is a PARTY DRESS and exactly what you'd want to wear if, say, you were starting a very glam cabaret show in Vegas after years of success in Hollywood musicals. This is NOT a complaint! That's a high bar! ## 24kGoldn ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/09/shutterstock_editorial_12439060cb-1631494965.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Stephen Lovekin/Shutterstock (12439060cb) 24kGoldn MTV Video Music Awards, Arrivals, New York, USA - 12 Sep 2021 You could also wear these fringe-y pants at that cabaret and that's also not a complaint! Let's all start dressing like Glamorous Stars Making a Mint Playing The Flamingo in 1973\. I promise it will be fun. ## Paris Hilton in The Blonds ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/09/shutterstock_editorial_12441559az-1631495029.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Evan Agostini/Invision/AP/Shutterstock (12441559az) Paris Hilton arrives at the MTV Video Music Awards at Barclays Center, in New York 2021 MTV Video Music Awards - Arrivals, New York, United States - 12 Sep 2021 This seems....right. (I do want to know that I love that the VMAs are using a little Moon Person sticker for people's marks on the step-and-repeat and not just some masking tape. That's admirable attention to detail.) ## Saweetie in Valentino ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/09/shutterstock_editorial_12439061eq-1631494975.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Matt Baron/Shutterstock (12439061eq) Saweetie MTV Video Music Awards, Arrivals, New York, USA - 12 Sep 2021 She looks SUPERB in this. Very glam, very old Hollywood. What a babe! ## Latto ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/09/shutterstock_editorial_12441559bd-1631495040.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Evan Agostini/Invision/AP/Shutterstock (12441559bd) Latto arrives at the MTV Video Music Awards at Barclays Center, in New York 2021 MTV Video Music Awards - Arrivals, New York, United States - 12 Sep 2021 This is likewise very dishy on her, but I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that I think she has one of the best smiles. ## Anitta in Miss Sohee ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/09/shutterstock_editorial_12441506ai-1631494997.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Evan Agostini/Invision/AP/Shutterstock (12441506ai) Anitta arrives at the MTV Video Music Awards at Barclays Center, in New York 2021 MTV Video Music Awards - Arrivals, New York, United States - 12 Sep 2021 She looks a little underwhelmed by this and I suspect this look didn't quite turn out as envisioned, although I do enjoy the idea of a formal gown where your bodice MIGHT be made out of fancy sea shells. It's very Ariel The Mermaid. ## Machine Gun Kelly in D&G ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/09/shutterstock_editorial_12441559de-1631495052.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Evan Agostini/Invision/AP/Shutterstock (12441559de) Machine Gun Kelly arrives at the MTV Video Music Awards at Barclays Center, in New York 2021 MTV Video Music Awards - Arrivals, New York, United States - 12 Sep 2021 Despite the fact that this is Ugh D&G (that's my shorthand now), this is also a very cool look on him, objectively speaking. Also: [Apparently, Conor McGregor tried to fight him (???) as he entered the venue and I have A LOT of questions](https://people.com/music/2021-mtv-vmas-conor-mcgregor-restrained-by-security-after-attempting-to-take-photo-with-machine-gun-kelly/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io), including why Conor McGregor was at this event. (I guess he was a presenter. [But this man has a LONG "controversies" section of his Wiki](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conor%5FMcGregor?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io#Controversies).) [But Of Course Folks Went For Metallics at the VMAsWhy wouldn't they?![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/bf/b9/bfb99790-924d-4e41-a7e6-5e3c6e04fe57/content/images/static-gofugyourself-com/uploads/2021/09/2021-vmas-metallic-looks-on-the-red-carpet-1631496323.jpg)](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/but-of-course-folks-went-for-metallics-at-the-vmas-09-2021/)
