This is the "Here's The Other Gown I Was Considering For The Ceremony" look and while it is objectively probably silly to wear a dress with a train to a dark, crowded party, I also get why they didn't want to leave this look behind. She looks spectacular in this. I almost would have had her wear this all night, as fab as she looked at the ceremony.
