Quinta Brunson in Silvia Tcherassi

I think I wish this skirt were....poofier??

Serena Williams in Armani

She looks GREAT. Period. (Okay, I do think this dress style sometimes feels like one dress pulled over another one, but she is really working it and I think this version is successful!)

Mickey Guyton

I love her but THIS is a dress on top of another dress. Not in an actively BAD way, just...in a way.

Brenna Huckaby

She's a highly decorated Paralympian snowboarder and I love this dress on her. Also: good accessories.

Halle Bailey in Raisa Vanessa

I often find her looks to be lightly overwrought, but this is VERY cute and kicky.

Allyson Felix

Speaking of cute and kicky!

Lindsey Vonn

Lindsey has been styled much more conservatively lately -- successfully so! -- but it makes sense that she might return to a more Boobs Legsly vibe for the ESPYs. I don't hate it or anything but it is a dramatic draping experience.

Zuri Hall

This is...VERY GOOD on her.

Haleigh Bryant

She's the current NCAA All Around champion and an excellent gymnast. She looks cute -- and appropriately breezy for the weather. (IT IS HOT AND HUMID NOW)

Diana Flores

She's a flag football star and I think that is cool!

Sarah Franklin

She's a superstar collegiate volleyball player and this dress is simple and elegant. A good choice!

Chari Hawkins

She's a 33 year old heptathlete going to her first Olympics and good for her! I like this color on her and also the heptathlon is HARD.

Eugenie Bouchard

Listen...it's hot. Why wear more fabric than you have to?

Mary Bonnet

Mary is on Selling Sunset and this cracks me up. It DOES have much-needed ventilation.

MJ Acosta-Ruiz

MJ is on NFL Total Access, and she's good on it! This slightly feels like she's just making sure ABC knows that she would also be open to talking about Dancing With the Stars? (She WAS a professional cheerleader, I suspect she'd be great.)

Flau'jae Johnson

Flau'jae Johnson is an LSU basketball star and I love the drama here! I hope she can also detach the train and just rock the mini-dress if she wants to.

Colleen Quigley

This is very well done. She's a former steeplechaser who now runs triathlons. (I think? I don't think she's steeplechasing anymore.)

Monica McNutt

This color is great.

Kysre Gondrezick

This is giving Sexy Maleficent, and I love that for her. Sidebar that "Kysre Gondrezick" is a VERY COOL NAME. (She's a [former?] WNBA player.)

GloRilla

This feels a bit like she was trying on outfits for the upscale Vegas pool party she's hosting before realizing she was late for this event and running out. She will, I must say, look GREAT at that pool party.

Daisy Ridley in Elie Saab

I mean...sure! Okay! Fine! (This is pretty boring but you know. It's not BAD.)

Jennifer Garner

Also okay, fine, etc!! Very in her wheelhouse.

Monique Billings

Monique plays for the Dallas Wings, and if you're a WNBA player, you SHOULD take everyone to Leg City.

The Most Compelling Gowns of the 2024 ESPYs

(Also, none of these people skip leg day.)
