Taraji P. Henson in Del Core

What a babe. There's been a real trend lately of me thinking, "she looks like a beautiful sea creature," and I for one welcome our beautiful sea creature overlords.

Erika Alexander

This is so joyous and fun; I LOVE this skirt.

Quinta Brunson in Naeem Khan

This is very dreamy on her. She and stylist Jessica Paster have been nailing it lately.

Kerry Washington in Vivienne Westwood

WOW, right? This is maybe one of my favorite looks on her...ever? It's so good!

Andra Day in Naeem Khan

Gorgeous AND theatrical, which seems on-brand.

Meagan Tandy

I wish this whole thing was gold! (Also, occasionally the photographers at this event attempted to get the entire graphic back there and the photo turned into an exploration of beige carpet.)

Naturi Naughton in Marchesa

I love this color. (As I typed that, I looked up at a chair in my room that is this color.) I guess Marchesa is still...existing!

Danielle Brooks

She looks great in this, and also like she's ready to take everything down a little notch, post-Oscars. Some of these folks have to be TIRED!

Fantasia Barrino in custom Mônot

I need a macro to automatically type, "I am not a fan of gloves," but this dress fits like a dream and she looks pretty great.

Teyonah Parris

This is fun, even though it does feel a bit like a reception dress.

Nathalie Emmanuel in Alberta Ferretti

This really washes her out. Like could be in the dictionary as a definitive example of "this really washes her out."

Tonesa Welch

This is FUN (and very short at the front).

Danielle Pinnock

This is such a dreamy garden-party-perfect look on her.

Kyla Pratt

She looks like a marshmallow...but in a very good way? I actually love it.

Nicole Beharie

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [complimentary]

Ava DuVernay

Hello, it's your most gorgeous bridesmaid, arrived to give her toast.

Phylicia Pearl Mpasi

This is also slightly bridesmaidal, but in a VERY appealing way.

Michelle Mitchenor in Valdrin Sahiti

Ding dong! She looks divine.

India Amarteifio in Tolu Coker

I love this hat and this dress and this pattern as a whole.

Halle Bailey in Nicole + Felicia Couture

Ooooh, fantastic! This is a great one for her too!

Eva Marcille in Falguni Shane Peacock

This looks like one of your wilder Fashion Plates experiments. That skirt and that top are not communicating well and need couples therapy.

Sheryl Lee Ralph in Georges Hobeika

I love this color but maybe wish the sequins went down a little further. However, I have something more important to discuss: Her makeup looks so gorgeous here.

Leslie Jones

Again, I'd lose the gloves but it's always nice to see Leslie killing it in a gown.

Tisha Campbell

....I want this one for myself, please.

Yara Shahidi in Ferragamo

Very sleek and very chic.

Shaquita Smith

A bit pageant, maybe? But I feel like she'd walk out on stage and everyone WOULD be like, "ooooooooh."

Aba Arthur

And then SHE'D walk out and everyone would ALSO go, "ooooh" and someone would say, "a cape!!!"

Claudia Jordan

And she's HOSTING the pageant. I would watch this. And this is the place where I note that Claudia absolutely should have gotten more than one season on Real Housewives of Atlanta. Justice for Claudia!

Robin Thede

At first, I thought this was a pantsuit and I'm mad it's not.

Red Carpet Highlights of the NAACP Image Awards: The Gowns!

Yes, the Oscars may be over but we still get some gowns!
