# 2026 Awards Season Retrospective: Amy Madigan

This is one of the most refreshing awards show wardrobe retrospectives I've ever done; there's maybe *one* skirt in the bunch. Madigan worked with [Andrew Gelwicks,](https://www.instagram.com/andrewgelwicks/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) who also styles Sarah Jessica Parker and Minnie Driver, and who styled Catherine O'Hara prior to her death. He[ sat down with *Whatever Nevermind*](https://heywhatevernevermind.substack.com/p/amy-madigan-awards-season-suits-tailoring-comfort) to take them through Madigan's entire awards season, and that piece is well worth your time, but I thought this was a salient pull quote: "Part of what we’ve been trying to do is just make this fun. Award season can be very saturated and just a bombardment of carpets and photos. We find a way to infuse lightness into that." It's a very confident collection of looks -- proving there is more than one way to dress like a winner.
