Martha Plimpton

She rules. I don't actually watch "Raising Hope," but if she had never done anything other than her role on "The Good Wife," she would still own me. This outfit just frosts the cake.

Jane Lynch

Jane actually attended BOTH Upfronts from yesterday, and she did it by keeping the same pants and shoes, and just changing her blouse -- even better, by changing her blouse TO MATCH EACH BACKDROP. Game, set, match,

Mindy Kaling

Love the colors, but I feel like Mindy Kaling is cuter than that sidebraid.

Cat Deeley

Another win. Also, so far, three out of four FOX ladies coordinated to the backdrop. Memo, or mind meld?

Demi Lovato

Why are there scarves hanging out of this? It's like her belt cried and Stevie Nicks came out.

Simon Cowell

When did Simon's hair get so... boxy? It's like an old-school Volvo up in there.

Alexis Bledel and Jason Ritter

Ever since someone pointed out that Jason Ritter has now TV-bedded both Lorelai AND Rory Gilmore (on "Parenthood" and now this new FOX show), it's all I can see when I look at this photo. RORY. PUT DOWN YOUR MOTHER'S BOY TOY.

Darren Criss

Perfectly nice.

Kevin McHale

ALSO dapper.

Chris Colfer

ALSO ALSO dapper. And maybe loaning his stylist to Kevin McHale.

Matthew Morrison

I figured y'all would want to see. He actually looks very dapper.

Lucas Neff

This guy is the lead on "Raising Hope," and is doing nothing to raise my interest.

Jenna Ushkowitz

Hey Jenna. It's been awhile, presumably because you've been busy wrestling the Static Cling beast and losing.

Michael Ealy

Michael is the cyborg partner in "Almost Human." FOX has a history of taking actors I find robotic in all their roles (Ealy and Summer Glau -- gird your loins for some Whedonverse fury directed at me) and then making them play ACTUAL robots. He's handsome but the open shirt looks dopey to me underneath that extremely formal pin-striped double-breasted jacket.

Zooey Deschanel

This feels like Zooey's interpretation of Liza Minnelli. That's not good or bad, really, just... there.

Vanessa Minnillo

My dirty secret is that I kind of like Vanessa Minnillo. AND Nick Lachey. I mean, I don't sit at home thinking about them when I should be paying my bills or feeding the beans, but I do find myself weirdly invested in their continued employment. Anyway, she looks fine. Very pretty, very uncontroversial.

Kevin Bacon

He looks reassuringly like Kevin Bacon.

Minka Kelly

Minka is on "Almost Human," which... we'll see. Would this dress be cuter if it were just strapless? The angle of her head and the angle of the strap makes it look like she's either just finished spraining something, or is about to.

Lea Michele

The dress is cute enough, but the pseudo beachy highlights/semi-ombre hair thing makes it all look SO DRY AND TANGLED AND FRIED. The More You Know. Which, yes, belongs to a different network, but apparently the need to know more extends to stars on all of them.

Fugs and Fabs: The FOX Upfronts
We need to talk about the FOX shows. Well, I haven't watched the comedy clips yet, but the dramas... I can't tell if they're a steaming pile of awful or secretly so hate-watchably amazing that it becomes love-watching. Almost Human stars Karl Urban and Michael Ealy and LILI TAYLOR WHY ARE YOU THERE, and here is my run-on sentence summary: It's set in a world where cops have cyborg partners, but Karl doesn't care for this, see, because he's been asleep for two years (?) and doesn't have anyone around him like Ironside does to shout things like "DAMMIT, MAN, WE HAVE PROCEDURES TO BE FOLLOWED," so he crankily throws his cyborg out of the car and it gets run over by a semi and then a "defective" old-model detective is assigned to him, and it's Ealy, and he says things like "I WAS MADE TO FEEL," and a grudging-respect is born and also probably some conspiracy hooey. Urban looks like he's phoning it in so hard and so long that his roaming charges will be astronomical. Cramazing. And yada-yada Greg Kinnear in Rake as a ne'er-do-well (not a gardening tool, though the latter might inspire Emmy voters more) is zzzzzz, AND THEN. Sleepy Hollow has to be seen to be believed. It's like Thor (Olde-Tymey Ichabod Crane comes back to life in modern America; makes wry comments about how many Starbucks we have and whether the black cops have all been emancipated, because slavery jokes are a treasure) meets National Treasure: Book of Horsemen ("THE ANSWERS ARE IN WASHINGTON'S BIBLE, ICHABOD! ICHABOOOOOOD!!!!!") and even includes a moment when the cops shout "PUT YOUR HANDS ON YOUR HEAD... oh, wait" and ends with the slogan "Heads. Will. Roll." As Stefon would say, "It. Has. Everything." As I would say, "It. Is. Hilarrible." I'm virtually certain I will watch. Then again, I said that when The Cape's hilarrible promo came out a few years ago, and I only made it through an episode and a half. [Photos: Getty]
