WELCOME BACK YOU DELICIOUS PICKLED ONIONS YOU. (I'm referring to what all of Patsy and Edina's extracurriculars have done to their INSIDES, obviously.) I have concerns about the movie based on the preview, but I do LOVE that Jennifer Saunders showed up in what is essentially a half-muumuu masquerading as a cloak. Her shirt, also, says, "Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Fur Free." I don't know if it means the wearer, or the shirt itself.
Joanna Lumley's pants also make me laugh. I mean, listen, there is no way to critique this. They're both always going to have one foot in character at the very least, either in my mind or in actuality. Patsy would prefer those pants if they were a miniskirt, obviously, but she'd think the glam camo print was delicious.

STATEMENT JEWELRY FOR ALL.

I cannot imagine a world in which Joanna Lumley somehow would NOT have access to any color of red lipstick she wanted.

"I SEE YOU SPYING ON HER UPDO," Edina is thinking. "IT'S HELD UP BY HORMONES AND TWO EMPTY PILL BOTTLES."

They are in a sequins-and-drag-queens sandwich. If Patsy and Edina ever were to die, this is how they would want to go, and also to be remembered, and also to be buried. All of the above.

Once more, with feeling. Whatever this movie is or isn't, I will never NOT feel delighted at the sight of this pair, and then also laugh at a memory of some bit of verbal or physical comedy they performed together. I know Dawn French was Jennifer Saunders' comedy partner for a long time, too, but to the world it's Patsy and Edina Forever.
