This is striking and great on her -- a missed Cannes opportunity, so I'm glad she got to bust it out here, even if the Accessories Council Awards feel like slightly smaller potatoes than this gown deserves.

Having said that, Ciara ALSO decided to go big, albeit less triumphantly. This is weirdly hollow from her, especially on a night on which she was accepting an award for style. Seriously, if you told me she'd been possessed by Rooney Mara, I would believe it. (And if you also told me this shipped in pieces and that the pants got lost by UPS, and she had to swap in something she found in a friend's closet, I'd buy it. None of this seems all that fun to wear, nor is any of it flattering; in fact, you lose her face a little, and Ciara's face is the BEST accessory, no?)

Well, if anyone should be at an Accessories Council awards show, it's *Younger'*s Diana freaking Trout, queen of the statement piece. I don't totally understand the dress but it's at least whimsical?

This bears an eerie resemblance to prom dresses from 1995\. Including on that I wore. (My side abs were not on actual display though; there were panels.)(PIZZA. I KNOW RIGHT. Very small slices, but still. I was 17\. Things happen.)
