Surely they have warehouses with mulch piles available in England, but whatever, Sarah Burton wanted to bring her collection to New York this season and I'm sure all the fashion editors were grateful not to hop on a plane again this soon after Paris. The show itself is more coherent than the environs would suggest; I was expecting full apocalyptic Derelicte stuff, but it's mostly suits and party dresses. Apparently 85 percent of it, per WWD, was made with recycled materials (apt, as several of the designs feel Done Before, too... ZING). Maybe the mulch... is... thematically... eh, whatever, it's still mulch.
