# Amanda Seyfried Packed Patterns for the Venice Film Festival

That first dress is Alexander McQueen and I can't figure out if I love it, or if I think it looks like an amazing beaded dress and a passable dress with lace inserts decided to marry, and the resulting union wasn't as rollickingly successful as they'd hoped, but not quite as disastrous as predicted, either. It's thought-provoking, and that's often used as a diplomatic euphemism, but in this case I mean it.

The situation surrounding the Valentino she wore for the photocall is more cut and dried:
