The top part looks like very fancy cabana furniture, and the bottom part looks like the filmy curtain separating said cabana from the rest of the riffraff at the hotel pool.
This just looks like it's sagging off of her. Maybe it has the blues because it looks more like an emergency chute than a cape.
SKIN IS NOT A SHIRT.
Sometimes simple can be good, but sometimes it's narcolepsy in a dress. This is the latter. The thing is, when it's THIS basic, it has to be flawlessly executed, and the bodice alone on this looks too imprecise to me.
That's pretty enough, but it's pulling in weird places, no? Dresses shouldn't be allergic to movement.
And then the back has some kind of weird vertical belt thing, like it's a briefcase.
And this is flat-out hideous. I know it's not actually white, but it's Of A Theme -- it's the dirty snow melting by the side of the road, not the stuff that just fell -- and it's not a good dress at all. I want to take her head and that necklace and find them a better life than this drab grey dickey-with-a-dream.
And this is fine, but it's like a beach cover-up. Stick a mimosa in her hand and put her on a deck chair at Shutters. Actually, she probably WOULD like it if you'd do that.
