I do not blame her at ALL for wanting to wrap herself in a safe tablecloth and leave all the trappings at home for the night. This one looks like she pressed a button to drop the hem from tea length to the floor.

She's got the cuffs down over her hands in a way that reminds me of every nervous 13-year old. I also think it's a low-waist and would be more succcessful if it weren't? I don't know. It gives off the vibe of a Drama Club costume that's just doing the best it can because they don't have the budget for tailors.
You know how people say that some actors have a face that's known Twitter, or whatever, as an indicator that they're not made for period pieces? Andrea Riseborough has a face that, conversely, I cannot IMAGINE has ever been lit by the harsh glare of an iPhone. That skin has never known LED light, which makes experimental eye makeup even weirder.
