At first I thought Carrie was carrying a fake rolled-up Cosmo, but it's SO fake looking that I zoomed in and now I am pretty sure it's a purse. SJP looks ridiculous in the barrettes and I don't like those shoes with this, so I guess... that's probably on-brand for Carrie. Cynthia/Miranda looks very warm, and with a whole-ass blanket around her neck. I hope her plot is that she's become OBSESSED with re-watching Smash. So many scarves.

However, I don't know that I buy Miranda in that much... shlub. Especially one with elbow-pit holes. (Those clips on Carrie are so twee, AAARGH, stabby.)

As they walk through the park, they keep passing people dressed in elaborate costumes (there is also a hot dog in there somewhere). Hopefully someone from NYC can give me a sense whether this is a special Central Park tradition or just fake Halloween, or... a plot point that I am sort of dreading. Carrie IS in a Barbiecore coat and hair. SURELY she would not...?

Wow. If Miranda's scarf was a blanket, then Carrie's coat here is the entire picnic. It looks very cozy, but the woman is in three boho layers and saddle shoes. Carrie Bradshaw does not own saddle shoes, does she? I feel like Samantha Jones would see this photo on Twitter and just chortle.

Well, there is a zero percent chance Carrie Bradshaw knows how to ski, but a moderate-to-strong chance that she'd buy a snowsuit to make it look like she does and then wear it to go buy an iPhone because hers fell into a fireplace. I desperately hope this is not an episode in which we're treated to a "funny" monologue about the frequency of iPhone releases and how technology is befuddilng.

Miranda has clearly just seen Carrie at the Apple Store and is like, "I don't know what she knows less about, skiing or iPhone storage."
