Carrie and Big

If my theory that he's dead is right, I'm guessing this is a flashback scene of some kind? Or a dream sequence, though that doesn't seem very SATC to me.

Carrie looks admittedly fabulous -- that dress is amazing. The shoes, I'm not as sold on here, but it's a small thing. For as crackers as the fashion has been so far, from what we've seen, this is dreamy in an appropriately Carrie way.

And then there was this shot of a cake on set, which I assume is a cake for off-camera and not part of the show. It also has a rendering of them in these s outfits and says, "We'll always have Paris." Apparently SJP and Chris Noth were seen shooting in actual Paris last month in these same costumes, so I assume the photo is from that, and this is just... pickups? Reshoots? Anyway, I think this is a goodbye cake for Chris Noth, but I'll get to that in a moment.

I guess I can see where this camera angle of that building would look... vaguely close enough to Paris, if you needed to fake it in a pinch? I guess we'll find out in due course.

This is very sweet.

OKAY BUT. Here they're clearly toasting on set. My big theory is that this is a series wrap on Chris Noth, because Big IS dead and gone, and they're having a little party after calling cut for the last time (hence the "We'll Always Have Paris" cake, which is unabashedly sentimental).

I mean! That hug looks like goodbye, and thanks for the memories.

SJP and Cynthia

Cynthia Nixon's feet must have been so cold. Also, zoom in a little here -- Carrie has her Metrocard strapped to her phone with a hair elastic, and that purse is wacky. It's a crossbody on a tiny metal chain, but with an extra leather handle bit on the bottom?

SJP and Bobby Lee

SJP's shoes don't really work here for me, and neither does that day dress, but she seems happy. "Feelin' good was good enough for me," she is saying. "Good enough for me and my Bobby Lee."

Finishing with a piano picture.

And Just Like That... It's Big in a Carriage

Also, SJP's Vogue cover.
