I assume, in costuming terms, this is a recreation of the actual dress? The bodice looks sliiiightly different and it had sparkle on it originally that I don't THINK was jewelry. Neither bodice fits her very well, so there's that. And she kept the feather in her cap. The cape is new. The cape helps, but it's a LOT to wrangle.

I hope Carrie credits her hairdresser in the episode. There is no way Carrie Bradshaw a) knows how to do this with her hair, and b) knows how to put in a headpiece that does this to her hair.

I gather this hat got cut out of the first season? It looks nice on her, but she looks like such a polo socialite in this outfit, and I'm STILL not sure if I buy Carrie transforming that much just from marrying Big. Who didn't seem to give a shit about any of that stuff, himself.
