The website The Business of Fashion picks its 500 most influential people every year, and then throws a huge party in Paris for... well, presumably whoever is around to attend it. The stories are paywalled, so I can't tell who is in it, [but from this small graphic it looks like... a lot of people who didn't come](https://www.businessoffashion.com/articles/news-analysis/launch-bof-500-class-of-2022-fashion-industry-designers-executives-media-entrepreneurs-creative-class-retailers-models-muses-catalysts/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io), like Kim Kardashian and Harry Styles and Hunter Schafer. Also, Timothee Chalamet -- not present -- makes sense, but Jacob Elordi (nope, not there either)? No offense, but what is his influence, exactly? I often think these things are meaningless and designed simply to drum up a guest list. But that seems substantially less helpful if the actual honorees can't be enticed to leave home. Anyway, here's who DID, though Kylie Jenner may wish she hadn't.
