The annual ceremony recognises British achievement in music, theatre, TV and the arts. Theatre producer Sir Cameron Mackintosh lead the way with the honours and was presented with an award for outstanding achievement. Meanwhile, Bafta-nominated movie 'Hunger' won the film award and Channel 4's 'The Devil's Whore' picked up the prize for best TV drama. Mercury Prize-winning band Elbow was named winners of the music award and series two of 'Pulling' scooped the comedy award. The theatre award went to the Donmar Warehouse for the revival of Othello starring Ewan McGregor and Chiwetel Ejiofor. Guests including Ronnie Wood, Sophie Ellis Bextor and John Hurt were entertained to live music performances from Michael Ball, Nigel Kennedy and indie rockers Razorlight.
