I had to look up if *The Northman*, which stars Alexander Skarsgård, has anything to do with Eric Northman, the character he played on *True Blood*, and I am not the only person because Google answered me *fast*: No. However, the movie's description left it vague, frankly:

> Prince Amleth is on the verge of becoming a man when his father is brutally murdered by his uncle, who kidnaps the boy's mother. Two decades later, Amleth is now a Viking who raids Slavic villages. He soon meets a seeress who reminds him of his vow -- save his mother, kill his uncle, avenge his father.

That person *could* become a vampire at the end there. It's actually based on[ *Gesta Danorum,* which is apparently a hugely famous Danish work from the 12th century](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gesta%5FDanorum?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io), which is possibly as far from *True Blood* as a person could get. (It's also one of the sources for *Hamlet.)* This all just goes to show, authors, never give up on having your book optioned! It could literally take centuries. Anyway, everyone is in this movie, although only a few of them are at the premiere -- Anya and Skarsgård, *Bill* Skarsgård, Ethan Hawke, Nicole Kidman, Willem Dafoe, and -- as the seeress, of course -- Björk. I pray that Kidman and Björk show up for at least one of these premieres, but for today, we must settled for ATJ and ASkars.
