It was a busy weekend, punctuated with all kinds of homework tantrums, so this felt exceedingly soothing to me. I'd have liked another pass at the shoes; those look like dyed-to-match bridesmaid hooves that nobody ever colored. But the gown is a delightful silvery cocoon, and in this overwhelming time of Fug Madness and being told I don't love my children/that one of them feels he should leave our house forever because I'm asking them to complete their school obligations, a relaxing swim in Lake Paillette is exactly what I needed.
