I LOVE this top on Louise. (I have a weakness for a neck ruffle.)

I guess I should have realized this was in California thanks to the sign back there that reads, "HEY THIS IS CALIFORNIA" or whatever, but I was distracted by how AWKWARD the RFK's accent was. Also, this is the dialogue: "California is all yours!" "We're on our way now!" Which I interpreted as meaning, "this went so well, CA is going to be awesome," and "we're leaving to head there now!" So...this was confusing, I guess.

Who's this dude, you ask? WHO EVEN KNOWS! (It's Frank Boreman, whose wife is MAAAAAAYBE an alcoholic because of stress now.)

See? She's stressed. Loosen your neck bow. You might feel better.

Bereaved Betty Grissom tells everyone that she's hanging in there, AND she's definitely looking awesome.

I'd suggest drinking every time we see a neck bow in this episode, but then we'd ALL be drunk.

Predictably, however, Trudy looks great and that dress is amazing on her.

I AM glad Marilyn is back, even if the only thing she has to do is be concerned that Susan is drinking vodka straight from the bottle and locking herself into the bedroom to write her husband's obit. She DOES suggest Susan see the AstroTherapist, but Susan doesn't wanna.

FYI, the vintage stores of Los Angeles are now completely out of neck bow blouses. Utterly. There isn't one to be had for love or money. Also: this divorce lawyer maybe needs to turn on some lights.

A dark time for women's wear.

I feel like hair and makeup and costume and props had a VERY good time getting to switch over to Hippie Town for a little bit this week. This was a kind of funny bit, though, where Louise ends up next to the most uptight of the hippies and they clearly kind of bond.

These festive holiday pantsuits are HILARIOUS and I love them. I think I own the pants that Susan is wearing (Lands End Signature, you guys. Your go-to for loud plaid holiday pants.)

"I'm Rene Carpenter for Neck Bow Broadcasting Corp, wishing you all good night and a pleasant tomorrow."

I just liked this sweater.

WHAT IS BETTY EVEN WEARING????

BEHOLD THE PYREX. Let's also give a shout-out to the show's food stylists, shall we?

This poor actress. She gets all kinds of reaction shots and people gripping at her, so I presume she is supposed to be married to one of the Dudes In Space with Frank Borman (so, she's married to William Anders, because Marilyn Lovell's husband Tom Hanks is the other one in space). She gets no lines and I had to look her name up on Wikipedia (it's Valerie) and we've LITERALLY NEVER SEEN HER BEFORE so...I don't know why we even bothered. Your audience should not yell, "who is THAT?" every time you cut to a reaction shot.

Everything is fine except that HIDEOUS pant suit on Annie Glenn. (Note: I do appreciate that they didn't even try to age people up with makeup. We all know that would have gone badly.)

Shout-out to Marilyn Lovell (my favorite of the new wives by far) for her AWESOME pink Christmas tree.

Is she still totally out of control drinking? WHO KNOWS????? Her husband's coming home and her dress is really cute.
