One of the delightful surprises of awards season was learning that Laurie Metcalf has a really cool sense of style. She picked PERFECT shoes, too.

A simple cut and a super pattern make me very happy.

Something about this looks a bit off everywhere. The jacket is what I imagine everyone looks like when they leave Times Square on New Year's: knotted up in random strands of tinsel.

Daniel Kaluuya

I'm trying to make an effort to get more menswear credits, but I can't find this one. It is ROBUST, that's for sure.

If I were to make a mood board for how I want 2018 to go, this would be the only photo on it.

That day dress is lovely. He looks perfectly nice, but also -- as befitting a man who once played the Winklevii -- as if his name is Whitworth Parkersfield IV and he wishes to repair to the state room of his yacht for apertifs.

I missed them both on the red carpet on Sunday. Her silky dress is beautiful. See you at the SAGs, you delightful kids.

This cut of dress is tough on anyone. It manages to make her LOOK like her arms are erupting out of it, but I think it's just that the bodice is designed unkindly.

This is a nice look on her, and I don't dislike the bangs as much as I feared I would (at least, not here). Am I nuts for wishing she had on funky oxfords with it?

Andrea Riseborough

I thought the GG red carpet was very well-turned-out, but a very large part of me wishes every last one of them had worn this instead.

These little neck ruffles are starting to pop up everywhere. Like little cupcake liners for your neck.

This is a lovely dress, and Dior is at least learning to make the logo straps more interesting?

This is the same designer that made her shirt from the post-parties. I might have LOVED it if her bra wasn't a crucial design element.

She is either working with someone new, or they hit the reset button. I don't think we've ever seen her in something like this, and even though it's basically a giant sweatshirt with a school skirt underneath it... I don't know, y'all, I'm into it.

Everything about her these days seems to scream, "The X-Files drained my life force."
