This is wonderful. Many of my favorite things by Prabal are in red and black. I wonder why that is? Is it because reeeeeed, I feel my soul on fiiiiiire, blaaaaack, my world if she's not theeeere, reeeed, the color of desiiiiiire, blaaaack, the color of despaaaaaair? Probably.

This is also gorgeous. I prefer it on her without the volcanic runway frippery, but let's be real, I also wish someone had gone the whole way with it sometime in the past 12 months. If EVER there were a time, it's when you don't actually have to leave your house.

Bless this person for liking a lot of big, fussy business. It's never dull, unlike some of what's coming. The Lady Pugh loves to wear a damn duvet.

This is a little cheesy? Am I crazy for wanting Law Roach to get hold of Scarlett and edge her out?

I appreciate her for picking something wholly unique. Also, as last time, I am compelled to share the designer's description, though I can't remember if it's of this SPECIFICALLY or the collection. But it's wonderful nonsense: "I was thinking about the Irish wren-boys, who go hunt and kill a wren on St. Stephen’s Day in Ireland—punkish boys who go knocking on doors, kind of like trick-or-treaters. So I wanted to bring that masculinity to the table but also turn and look into the houses of the people whose doors they knock on—at the Delft china, the tablecloths, the wallpaper."

This is a nice color, from the Cult Robe collection. I pulled this photo because it's nicer of her, even though you can't see that her left arm has no sleeve. You can ogle that in the next slide.

Et voila. Jodie looks so superb that she doesn't need to be alone in her shot to pull focus. That gown is fantastic on her. What a great shot for the baby book. Well, okay, maybe in the baby book she can fly solo.

Her pose in this is perfect -- the way the drape falls over her arm is exquisite. I'm in a weird position of not liking that bodice at all, and yet thinking she looks fabulous. Somehow both of those things are true.

This is made with discarded satin, apparently. So applause for meeting the sustainability edict, even if the design itself is so boring that I can't even finizzzzz

This is fine. Unimaginative. It fits and it's not hideous. That sentence reminds me of the Priority Mail slogan for their boxes: "If it fits, it ships." That's how I feel about this dress. If it fits, it ships. Done.

This is the most restrained Schiaparelli ever -- and I say that even though I realize that the sequins here are in a very faint, rough skeleton pattern.

Unless these custom gowns -- of which this is specifically one -- are made from recycled stuff, as Saoirse's was, then it would seem to fly directly in the face of sustainability. Also, there's nothing on offer here that hasn't been made before, which itself would also have been more sustainable. She looks good in it, but I remember being puzzled at the time.
Vanessa Kirby in Valentino

This is an outfit that COULD have worked, theoretically, but which I in actuality I think is unflattering. It ended up being very boxy on her.

Any time she wears an actual color is a relief. The fact that this is good is a bonus.
