First and CERTAINLY most importantly: I need to know more about this cape. Tell me more about this cape, Rooney. Sign me up for any and all cape-related newsletters.

This was what lurked beneath said cape. And you can be honest with me: AM I DELUSIONAL? Or does this kind of FINALLY work on her? Have six years (or whatever) of workshopping that Chic Shipwreck look FINALLY perfected it?

In all honestly, I don't even dislike this. It's a floofy lace wine bag -- like a doily married to a hot air balloon -- but it's kind of perky on her. Maybe Cate Blanchett's magic has finally rubbed off, just wee tiny bit.

[BAFTAs Fug or Fab: Rooney Mara in GivenchyMaybe I'm tired. (It is 2:30am as I write this; Heather and I spent all last night covering a party featuring various people who were once on The Bachelorette.) Maybe I have finally ascended to the plane of existence on which Rooney Mara bet communicates. Maybe I'm fully delirious and this job has broken my face. But I kind of get these, even if I don't love them? \[Photos: Getty\]![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/bf/b9/bfb99790-924d-4e41-a7e6-5e3c6e04fe57/content/images/static-gofugyourself-com/uploads/2016/02/gettyimages-510258348.jpg)](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/baftas-fug-or-fab-rooney-mara-in-givenchy-02-2016/)
