Dakota Johnson in Dior

So droopy on her no? It's also like a valentine to her reproductive organs, framing them as it does with a ruffle.

Emilia Clarke in Victoria Beckham

This STRONGLY evokes the eggplant Dior that J.Law wore to one of the Mockingjay events. But it's WAY too tight on her, although that also could be exacerbated due to why I assume were high winds.

Emilia Clarke

I mean. That does not look pleasant. I heard it was cold, and wow, she is trying so hard to keep her game face on. Respect, Emilia.

Angela Bassett

OF COURSE she had a great coat handy. That's how the Bassett rolls.

Angela Bassett

Great color, great head great shoulders... might just forget about the puckering at the sides.

Angela Bassett

Wait, it's BUTTOCKIAL PUCKERING. I cannot get with any dress that seeks to evoke -- at the same time-- a person's crack and the musicians from the Mos Eisley cantina.

Dree Hemingway

Wait, are spiders mating with strawberries now?!?

Bel Powley

I am completely with her skirt, and even the bodice, but her shoes look like C3P0 for Lady Gaga and I cannot.

Gwendoline Christie

In this case, i do think a plummier lip was required.

Rebel Wilson

I was able to get with the asymmetry on her glorious teal Theia dress the other day, but this one is SUCH a sad afterthought of a skirt. No.

Isla Fisher, Sacha Baron Cohen

It's nice to see her again. I look forward to whatever she wears next. This feels VERY much like an attempt at an uneventful re-entry, and not much else.

Luciana Barroso in Versace

STAY TOGETHER, GUYS. I'm sure you don't need my entreaties, but still.

BAFTAs Fugs and Fabs: The Others
We have got to talk to these BAFTA people about not scheduling them against the Grammys EVERY YEAR. There's plenty of room elsewhere, dudes. Edited to add: A commenter pointed out that Nanette Lepore had some feedback on Dakota's Dior dress. Well played, Nanette. I feel like this stuff happens a LOT (Monique Lhuillier's collections always seem to evoke other people, to me), and I can't decide if I think designers need to accept it as part of creative life -- like an accidental mind meld, or how everything in life is influenced by what's come before it -- or if they should all rage against the machine. I see an argument for both, honestly. [Photos: Getty]
