Genie Francis

I enjoy that Genie showed up to the press day looking like she was, indeed, arriving in the Kellico boardroom to pitch her exciting new fragrances. Tyger Hayes will NOT be dismissed. Also, I enjoy that Lady Bobbi gave Tyger the "y" that she didn't get in her name.

with Jamie Lyn Bauer

Jamie Lyn, recently off Y&R at this point (eventually she popped up on Days), took over the role of Barbara from Donna Mills. I don't know anything about Barbara. Wikipedia is withholding details.

"I'm sorry... there's a person named MUFFIN? Did you name during a morning meeting catered by Costco?"

with Ian McShane and Jennifer O'Neill

The pearls over the high-necked blouse... Jennifer was clearly ready for her version of Dynasty. Unfortunately it was not ready for anyone. Ian McShane seems to know this. He's just staring wistfully into the distance, wishing someone would write him a gritty Shakespearean Western with a ton of sex.

This is a random shot of Genie from the set of the miniseries, and I had to share her dress. She looks like Glinda the Good Witch.

Laura Bruneau

Laura -- not Nancy McKeon, as I had originally wondered -- played... someone named Cathy, who I hope was exactly like the comic strip Cathy. She is sporting such classic 1983 hair that I was sure she would turn out to be McKeon-adjacent. She later made a name for herself in the Canadian series Katts and Dog, which is basically Turner and Hooch. Except there's one on NOW in Canada called Hudson and Rex that is ALSO basically Turner and Hooch. There is a lot of demand for Man and Dog Detective Shenanigans, I guess.

Jonathan Frakes and Michael Woods

Yes, that's Number One as a young lad, pre-Starship Enterprise. He and Genie Francis met on this show, but didn't date until they met AGAIN on the set of North and South. They're still married.

And here we have none other than the great Jessica Walter, who is the show's Alexis Carrington. She got terrible reviews for it, but I have to think she was actually as good as a person could be in this show and simply suffered from a) the script, and b) the comparison. I also enjoy that Jonathan Frakes has photos with almost everyone at this party.

with Wendy Fulton

"I said I wanted ONE muffin, not THE Muffin," he is thinking.

I decided they were all fighting over Frakes backstage and that when Genie eventually married him, all of these people called up a random key grip and were like, "We owe you $20."
