I truly never knew this outfit existed. How did I miss this the first time around? She is giving me a very weird combination of Cybill Shepherd and Shania Twain energy, coupled with prophetic fuggery that evokes the backward suit Celine Dion wore two years later.
Intern Georg and Celine Balitran
Celine was George's girlfriend - probably the first one we heard of regularly since he hit it big. She has common threads with many of those that followed: Celine was a waitress (kind of like Sarah Larson was) who was also a law student (his current wife is a lawyer) and also a tall blonde (like Stacy Keibler) who moved on from Clooney to do some modeling and acting (like Elisabetta Canalis, I believe). She's lovely, but she fell prey to The Dreaded Gym Hair. George looks perfectly fine -- menswear was dull back then, for the most part -- but also like he wasn't particularly fussed about this one.

Uma is just delighted to be there, and also presumably passing through as fast as possible. Somehow, Intern George took this one on the chin harder than anyone else who was in it, even WITHOUT winning a Razzie. I wonder if some of that is because it's become his go-to punchline. He brings it up before anyone else can, and rags on it to blunt their efforts, but that strategy also means he never let us forget about it. Whereas I NEVER remember Arnold was in it, and Uma, I mostly remember for her color scheme.

Her date is an actor named Rodney Rowland, whom she met on The X-Files and dated for about a year after her divorce. He is EXTREMELY cute. Gillian looks nice, but her shoes are screaming to be part of a different outfit.

Ashley was on Sisters, where she played the daughter of Sela Ward -- whose character dated George. I still remember SCREAMING when he blew up in his car, because I was young enough that I didn't read showbiz news and I had no idea he was leaving. That might truly be one of the last times a show REALLY surprised me? It was mildly made up for by him turning up on ER, but it's possible I never truly forgave him and he FELT it and that's why he never warmed to his internship.
