She's a journalist; maybe she takes homophones very seriously. ## Tom Selleck and Jillie Mack ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-486252295-1592891023.jpg) WESTWOOD, CA - JUNE 19: Actor Tom Selleck and wife Jillie Mack attend the "Batman" Westwood Premiere on June 19, 1989 at the Mann Village & Bruin Theatres in Westwood, California. (Photo by Ron Galella, Ltd./Ron Galella Collection via Getty Images) Oh, Tom. Listen, you're not obligated to have a mustache forever, I know that. But it is REALLY weird to see it start to be absorbed by a beard coming up around it. ## SJP and RDJ ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-82623825-1592889016.jpg) Sarah Jessica Parker and Robert Downey Jr. (Photo by Barry King/WireImage) His blazer is quite smart. She might be wearing a smock? ## Catherine O'Hara ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-157156764-1592891015.jpg) WESTWOOD,CA - JUNE 19: Actress Catherine O'Hara and husband Bo Welch attend the "Batman" Westwood Premiere on June 19, 1989 at Mann Bruin Theatre in Westwood, California. (Photo by Ron Galella, Ltd/Ron Galella Collection via Getty Images) She is still married to this man, Bo Welch. He was the production designer on *Beetlejuice*, and they met, and that was that. I enjoy when Hollywood love stories pan out. ## Henry Winkler ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-139652007-1592891007.jpg) WESTWOOD,CA - JUNE 19: Actor Henry Winkler attends the "Batman" Westwood Premiere on June 19, 1989 at Mann Bruin Theatre in Westwood, California. (Photo by Ron Galella, Ltd/Ron Galella Collection via Getty Images) I have serious reservations about The Fonz's attire here. ## Deidre Hall ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-139570878-1592890999.jpg) WESTWOOD,CA - JUNE 19: Actress Deidre Hall attends the "Batman" Westwood Premiere on June 19, 1989 at Mann Bruin Theatre in Westwood, California. (Photo by Ron Galella/Ron Galella Collection via Getty Images) At this time I believe Marlena was presumed dead in a plane crash. The lengths one must go to in Salem just to have quiet time to catch a movie! My goodness. ## Winona Ryder ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-114949131-1592889069.jpg) WESTWOOD, CA - JUNE 19: Actress Winona Ryder attends the "Batman" Westwood Premiere on June 19, 1989 at Mann Bruin Theatre in Westwood, California. (Photo by Ron Galella, Ltd./Ron Galella Collection via Getty Images) I assume she, like Catherine O'Hara, is there because of the Tim Burton connection (*Beetlejuice* again). ## Valerie Bertinelli and Eddie Van Halen ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-110718804-1592889058.jpg) Valerie Bertinelli and Eddie Van Halen during "Batman" Los Angeles Premiere at Mann Village theater in Westwood, California, United States. (Photo by Barry King/WireImage) The couple that hairs together... does not always stay together, I guess. ## Sammy Hagar ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-110718757-1592889048.jpg) Sammy Hagar of Van Halen during "Batman" Los Angeles Premiere at Mann Village theater in Westwood, California, United States. (Photo by Barry King/WireImage) That is a WILD suit. ## Glenn Close ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-110718751-1592889038.jpg) Glenn Close during "Batman" Los Angeles Premiere at Mann Village theater in Westwood, California, United States. (Photo by Barry King/WireImage) And here is Glenn Close, noted *Batman* aficionado. ## Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-110718747-1592889025.jpg) Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith during "Batman" Los Angeles Premiere at Mann Village theater in Westwood, California, United States. (Photo by Barry King/WireImage) And here is Don Johnson, noted Don Johnson aficionado. (The '80s really were a time of shapelessness, though. Is Melanie in a blazer, or an actual coat? In the '80s there was so little difference.) ## 1992: Michael Keaton and Courteney Cox ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/bf/b9/bfb99790-924d-4e41-a7e6-5e3c6e04fe57/content/images/static-gofugyourself-com/uploads/2020/06/shutterstock_editorial_5135625a-1592888376.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Bei/Shutterstock (5135625a) Courteney Cox and Michael Keaton 'Batman Returns' Premiere June 16, 1992: Los Angeles, CA. Courteney Cox and Michael Keaton 'Batman Returns' Premiere Photo®Berliner Studio/BEImages For some reason, I didn't have a good Keaton shot from the 1989 premiere, but that's okay, because now we get to remind ourselves that THESE TWO dated. For six years, too! 1989-1995, per Wikipedia. That is also where I learned this: "Keaton, a longtime Pittsburgh resident and fan of its sports teams, negotiated a break in his Batman movie contract in case the Pittsburgh Pirates made the playoffs that year, although they ultimately did not." ## Michelle Pfeiffer and Fisher Stevens ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-112060350-1592890990.jpg) Michelle Pfeiffer and Fisher Stevens during "Batman Returns" Hollywood Premiere at Mann's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California, United States. (Photo by Ron Galella, Ltd./Ron Galella Collection via Getty Images) Look at those thick hose. That dress is also nothing to put on your Pinterest board. But her smile is what wins the day. (We were discussing old movies to show the boys, and we brought up *Short Circuit* as having potential... until we remembered Fisher Stevens's part in that movie. Pass.) ## Will and Sheree Smith ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-109404621-1592890982.jpg) HOLLYWOOD - JUNE 16: Actor Will Smith and wife Sheree Smith attend the "Batman Returns" Hollywood Premiere on June 16, 1992 at Mann's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California. (photo by Ron Galella, Ltd./Ron Galella Collection via Getty Images) Life is long, and never have I felt that more than when compiling these slideshows and realizing just HOW LONG some celebrities have lived in the public eye. You know it, and yet... somehow you forget just how long it is. ## Wesley Snipes ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/shutterstock_editorial_5135728ay-1592888385.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Bei/Shutterstock (5135728ay) Wesley Snipes 'Batman Returns' Premiere June 16, 1992 - Hollywood, CA Wesley Snipes. I don't know, I thought you'd like to say hello. ## Khrystyne Haje ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-166994996-1592888350.jpg) HOLLYWOOD - JUNE 16: Actress Khrystyne Haje attends the "Batman Returns" Hollywood Premiere on June 16, 1992 at the Mann's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California. (Photo by Ron Galella, Ltd./Ron Galella Collection via Getty Images) *Head of the Class* had just ended, so this would still have been a timely celeb appearance. However, I don't know why she's dressed as a Disney Store nightgown prototype. ## Christian Slater and Nina Huang ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-114327287-1592888341.jpg) HOLLYWOOD - JUNE 16: Actor Christian Slater and girlfriend Nina Huang attend the "Batman Returns" Hollywood Premiere on June 16, 1992 at Mann's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California. (Photo by Ron Galella, Ltd./Ron Galella Collection via Getty Images) I have to say, major credit to Nina Huang for wearing something in 1992 that she could pull out today and wear again. The only item I can say that about are my Umbros. [We Also Might As Well Round Out The Early BatmansBoth the Keaton Batman movies premiered around this time, eons ago.![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/bf/b9/bfb99790-924d-4e41-a7e6-5e3c6e04fe57/content/images/static-gofugyourself-com/uploads/2020/06/shutterstock_editorial_5135625a-1592888376.jpg)](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/we-also-might-as-well-round-out-the-early-batmans-06-2020/)
