It looks particularly dashing with the flightsuit. (I also always enjoy the "Harry Wales" patch.) Speaking of, please take us away, Informative Caption: "Prince Harry walks on the airfield at Goodwood Aerodrome as he is shown Spitfire Aircraft that will take place in a Battle of Britain Flypast at Goodwood...The 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain is being marked by a historic flypast that brings more Battle of Britain aircraft together than ever before, as a show of thanks to 'the few' and the sacrifices they made." That said, that one of the Spitfires wasn't flyable today, so Harry bowed out to let other two veterans fly, one of whom is 95 and who you will meet later, and who I might want to adopt as a grandparent. I would also note that the idea of a ninety-five year old man getting back into the Spitfires (or proximity) in which they were once so young and brave kind of makes me cry. It's so poignant! ## Prince Harry ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2015/09/GettyImages-488290626_master.jpg) *Wistful andBearded: The Prince Harry 31st Birthday Story.* Coming this fall to Lifetime, starring Conan O'Brien. ## Prince Harry ![prince-harry-spitfire](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2015/09/GettyImages-488288208.jpg) "You. You! I know you. And I told you not to take any pictures of me in this, because it's difficult to be dashing in a windbreaker." ## Prince Harry ![prince-harry-spitfire](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2015/09/GettyImages-488287714_master.jpg) And this one, of course, is where he thinks, "if I don't get to go up in this awesome old plane, I might as well use my time to audition for a new perfume ad. The scent is called Hot Ginger and it's got notes of ginger, scotch, sunscreen, male sweat, and money. I'm PERFECT for it." ## Prince Harry ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2015/09/GettyImages-488296774_master.jpg) Get ready for basically THE GREATEST photos. If you love jaunty old men who are revisiting potentially the most historically memorable events of their lives -- and how could you not? This is so the beginning of a book wherein an old man flashes back on the loves and losses of his youth during the Blitz, BUT REAL LIFE-- this bit is for you. ## Prince Harry and Tom Neil ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2015/09/GettyImages-488296744_master.jpg) This is basically just the best. ## Prince Harry Attends The Battle Of Britain Flypast ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2015/09/GettyImages-488296724_master.jpg) I sort of want to put this photo on MY piano. (And it does appear that the other serviceman had their arm slung around Harry as well; for whatever reason, I couldn't find the un-cropped photo. I am not cropping out servicemen!) ## Prince Harry Attends The Battle Of Britain Flypast ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2015/09/GettyImages-488296766_master.jpg) This event has so many things that I appreciate: Prince Harry, brave RAF pilots, WWII history, flightsuits, hot man beards, and hand-holding! ## Prince Harry Attends The Battle Of Britain Flypast ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2015/09/GettyImages-488296012_master.jpg) Also gazing lovingly at things. ## Prince Harry ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2015/09/GettyImages-488296010_master.jpg) AND thumbs-up. ## Prince Harry ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2015/09/GettyImages-488295988_master.jpg) Harry is holding Tom McNeil's walking stick for him while he flies, and it's good to know for the future that he looks good with one. What better gift on your birthday? [Royally Played: Prince HarryAppropriately, today is his birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HARRY. You're back in town and you've brought the beard back with you. \[Photos: Getty\]![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/bf/b9/bfb99790-924d-4e41-a7e6-5e3c6e04fe57/content/images/static-gofugyourself-com/uploads/2015/09/gettyimages-488287696_master.jpg)](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/battle-of-britain-prince-harry-09-2015/)
