KiKi Layne in Self Portrait
This is... not the worst thing Self Portrait has ever created. What a warm compliment that is. Honestly, it's not awful, but I do think the bodice is trying at least one tactic too many.

I wish anyone else had gotten their own shot -- at least from our photo source -- but I'm going to assume Regina King looks awesome, because 90 percent of the time that is the case.
KiKi Layne and Stephan James
Stephan is in the Julia Roberts show for Amazon, Homecoming, which I just started watching. It's very... languid. You can tell it's the same person who did Mr. Robot, but I don't hate it as much, and Dermot Mulroney made me laugh out loud. As for Kiki... this makes me want to retract all my complaints about the Self Portrait dress.

I LOVE the eggplant pinstripe suit. I wish she would wear the jacket.

That is some SKINTIGHT STUFF there. This is almost a mid of Meghan and Kate, honestly: We have Meghan's penchant for blazers mixed with the fact that she isn't afraid to show some shoulder, and Kate's tendency toward snug pants. KiKi is giving this superior confidence, but her crotch is going to be SO happy to have these peeled off later.

Oh, Barry. This man REALLY loves an ill-fitting sweater with a bunchy button-down underneath, poking out in all manner of tragic directions. He looks like he shopped his laundry pile here...
... and while that is at least a bit nicer, it's still also a mess. What does the shirt think it's DOING? BARRY. Regina surely can talk some sense into you.
Kiki Layne in Gucci
Here is a bonus! She attended the goofy Gucci gala at LACMA and somehow her pics didn't make it into our subscription until after we'd already written the post. And that is a shame, because WHAT is this. It would be SO EASY to have stopped before sewing on the pink ruffles, and then you'd have something resembling sanity, but NO, why would Gucci do that when it could make her look like she's wearing really really ritzy soft restraints.

This photo makes it look like Gucci has made her legs disappear, and reveals the sleeves to be more of an elaborate pirate wench situation. Alessandro Michele's brain must be an exhausting place.
