Let us honor the precision involved in these matching hairdos. I fixate on it especially because my own hair is like a wild, disastrous thicket right now, and I'm probably going to have to chop it all off and start over, which I'm not excited about. Maybe I'll just give myself a Beatles cut!!!

I'm fascinated by this tiny curved pocket of the Palace, with this old mural. Informative Caption really dropped the ball on this one for me.

First, George’s commitment to smoking -- and the others', too; there's another shot with Paul taking a drag, and John I believe -- is absolute. I'm sure it was commonplace back then, but I can't imagine EVER showing up at Buckingham Palace and casually lighting up unless there was an aide there being like, "By the way, have a cig, and thank you for smoking!" Second, this is clearly just a table they threw a random curtain over; [this photo that I couldn't license](https://www.gettyimages.ca/detail/news-photo/english-pop-group-the-beatles-pictured-together-talking-to-news-photo/552082229?adppopup=true&ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) REALLY shows off how haphazard it looked. I also feel like the whole MBE press conference must just have been because it was The Beatles, because I don't think the MBE is considered THAAAAAT monumental?

This was captioned "Fan Invasion," and... yep. I can't imagine pushing this hard against the bobbies stationed outside the freaking Queen's house. Guess where you're NOT getting into? There.

Although some made it further than I expected. I'm fairly sure handcuffs awaited them on the other side of the gate, but true love cares not for trespass laws, I guess.
