Beyonce said her collection is inspired by going to rodeos as a kid in Texas. Which is nice! But also niche. I can't imagine THAT many people relating to expensive chaps. Especially when said chaps are bootaloons. But her lipstick here is flawless. I am not sure why she's sitting on a tree? Here is what I wish: That these covers felt properly celebratory and jazzy and, well, JAZZED. Instead they're very stern.

She is a very morose cowgirl. "I appear to have forgotten how pool parties work," she seems to be thinking, sadly. Shouldn't there be like confetti or something? It's your birthday, Beyonce! Party like it is! The third cover, which we don't have here, is ALSO very glum and also has an ugly bra on it.

Oh and speaking of things that are morose: THE MOROSE HORSE, as a concept, has returned.

The Last Horse of the Apocalypse, coming soon to both theaters and a streaming service Beyonce will have invented, called Beyonce++.

Not sure about the ballet rodeo aspects, but I can't lie, those pants are a lot of crazy fun and I kind of wish a version of the photo on the left had made the cover. But again, a joyful one. She doesn't have to leak glee all over town, or anything, but I'd have loved a happy one either on the newsstand or for subscribers.

I always knew this is how Sideshow Bob would meet his end. (Why is her tongue out? Don't go all Miley on us, milady!)

This is a very striking picture, of a woman in a pose nobody really does unless they have a very specific knot in their muscles.

Of all the photos, this one is my favorite. It's regal and commanding, while also being weird and high-fashion and an interesting chape.

PEEKABOO. Though opening the cape removes the pleasing mystery.
