The close-up is not kind to the pants, which also generally look look so thick and crispy. The whole outfit just looks... the opposite of effortless. EffortFUL.

This is peach, but with pink accents, so COUNT IT. It has a bit of a Marie Antoinette feel, like she's just waiting for someone to plonk the wig on her head and then make pronouncements about baked goods.

I thought you'd want to marvel at her nails, which look like upside-down microphones from a Barbie Karaoke set.

Pink got the Icon award, which is deeply deserved -- seeing her live is on my bucket list -- and I do enjoy that she showed up IN pink, because why not. The dress is lovely, if edgeless. I'm glad she didn't try to wear any of the tops and caps and pubic-rise jeans that were on-trend when she first became famous, because it means she has allowed herself to evolve rather than tried to freeze time. But a little of her punk flair might have been fun.

She did bring the kidlets, though, and they delivered. I love that Willow is just fully wearing her slippers, and there are few things as adorable as a kiddo in cowboy boots that take up most of their legs. Those are HUGE. It's great and she's clearly letting them have fun and find their own fashion personalities. And in the end, maybe that's why she went simple herself.
