I am excited for the day I no longer look up her age (she is 18). This is custom, and I GENUINELY do not understand why the directive for a teenager was "Madam of Deadwood's newest house of scandal," but here we are. I also want to scream about the hair, although some of that is because we're going through an unfortunate middle-part phase on Grey's where EVERYONE who has one REALLY ought to try something else, so I'm sure my frustration is bleeding over a bit? But I do stand by my feelings. The bangs feel very Regency. Maybe the directive actually was to be the Madam of Bridgerton's newest house of scandal.

At least she is happy?

This is their red carpet debut. She's only been 18 for about a month, so maybe that's why. (He's 19, so it's not a creeper situation, at least.) He is the son of Jon Bon Jovi, so wait, maybe her ACTUAL actual directive was "Madam of Young Guns or Young Guns II's newest house of scandal. He's quite cute -- this is not the most flattering picture of him. She seems besotted. Good luck to them both. Young love, etc.

This is Armani, and it's custom -- I had seen it as Saint Laurent first, but it isn't. So my thoughts about her being pinned to one design house don't apply and I've edited them. But it does feel a bit samey. It's better than the boxy red one she wore to the SAGs. But it's similar thematically, and also alike in feel to a jumpsuit you'll see tomorrow on the site, which she wore over the weekend to another BAFTA event (and which IS Saint Laurent). Caitriona Balfe can wear almost anything, if not actually anything, and she was always so good with variety. I miss the variety.

Joanna won Best Actress for After Love, which is thrilling (she beat Gaga, Alana Haim, Renate Reinsve, and Tessa Thompson, who sadly didn't attend). I am too lazy today to acquaint myself with the BAFTA eligibility rules and how they make the lineups differ from the Oscars in some ways but not others, but it's fun. I very much appreciate her bracelet and her commitment to surprising footwear. She looks great, and my only wish for her is that someone had trimmed this with some sparkly embroidery or somesuch.

What a pendant. (Though some bracelets wouldn't have gone amiss.) This whole look is fine, if not quite enchanting. She has that spunky new short hair; I wish she'd played it up, instead of slicking it back, because if you didn't know she'd gotten a chop you might just think this is a sleek bun.

This almost went in with the blue dresses, but honestly, the black tulle is trying SO hard to strangle the color out of it that I decided it fit best here.

Ellie is one of Chanel's devotees, an alliance from which I would love to free her. This could definitely be worse, at least. The sheer skirt is... you know. Insert heavy sigh here.

Minimalism is IT right now for Saint Laurent, I guess.

This works, although perhaps the makeup is a little daytime.

Well, at least Riccardo Tisci's work at Burberry has SOME support. It doesn't scream either of them to me, though. I've decided she's angling for a role in Bridgerton.

Supposedly this is custom, and I cannot get excited about it. All that work, for a sack with a shoulder train. At least it's cinched, but even then, not particularly nicely. I love her -- I thought she was charismatic in No Time To Die and deserved better than that movie, although she did win Breakthrough Star for it -- and she is definitely more interesting than this dress. Meh. I am shouting through my Mehgaphone.

YES. Lashana, call Sophie, she knows what's what.

This bodice has neat detailing that you have to peer at very closely to see -- it got lost in the photo. This may have needed a necklace.

I went around the block ten times on whether this is purple or black, and after committing to it being black, now I think it's purple. Sigh. It's good, though, and her hair and makeup are perfect with it.

She is one head covering away from wondering what on EARTH one can do to solve a problem like Maria, although she would be wondering it from a stage in Vegas.

THERE IS ALWAYS A SHEER. The universe has its laws, and one of the explicitly states that bloggers shall not be given a moment's break from this plague. At least... it fits? She can play the Baroness in our Vegas Sound of Music revue.
