This is Dolce, so blah (his stylist is Ilaria Urbinati, who will never quit D&G), but also he looks damn good. I'm not even mad at the black bow tie with this, because he ties it in with the shoes in a way that just... makes sense. I don't know. He looks like the celebrity parent who agreed to emcee your elementary school silent auction, and that IS a compliment.

I watched the descriptive stream for the visually impaired -- I clicked it accidentally and found it fascinating, so I stayed -- and the woman did a REALLY accurate job explaining this dress on the fly, and in a super fast amount of time, somehow without saying, "It's a blue dress and then someone ran a roll of gaffer tape all over it." As we noted in Drinks With Broads today, that's a HARD job.

This is the simpler, more sophisticated version. I think it's beautiful on her -- and yes, it's navy, and YES, I had to wait until a Dior press release confirmed it because I can't always tell. I think this is one of her personal bests.

I knew this would be Christian. The dress itself is black, I believe, but the buttons and lapels look convincingly blue everywhere, including on Christian's Instagram. So! COUNT IT. I was quite sad she didn't win, although I'm sure Jean Smart is still great in Hacks. She went through a LOT to get that last season of Dead to Me on film. This outfit and having her daughter with her looking so freaking cool... that's a triumph and I hope she reveled in it as such.

In this photo, his tie almost looks painted onto his shirt. This man seems like a delight to interview -- we did once, the year we were on the press line at the Emmys, and he was wonderful. Likewise, on the People live feed, he was quite happy to chitchat and call out people he admires.

Chalk this one up to "it looks navy or midnight blue in some pics." I am happy to report that I had my eyes checked and my vision is great, so the fact that I can't tell my black from my darkest blues is I guess just... my burden to bear as a blogger.
