Jessica Chastain in Oscar de la Renta

Jessica's new bob is VERY cute (and seemingly real; she posted it on instagram). This dress, unfortunately, looks to me like OdlR was inspired by shopping for outdoor rugs.

Anne Hathaway in Ralph Lauren

Anne's shoulder was astonished not to be nominated after it worked so hard to break through.

Jewel in Tom Ford

Jewel's thigh WAS nominated but it didn't win.

Michelle Yeoh

Not my favorite hair on her, not my favorite color combo, and that chunky grey watch is a total eyesore. Her stylist has somehow, against all odds, dimmed her light -- TRULY a scientific breakthrough but not one that we actually need.

Zoe Saldana in Alaia

I would love a new approach to her makeup; the color of the dress is great, and just when you think the rest of it is, too...

PULL OVER. IT'S HALF-PANTS. This is maybe the worst plot twist I have ever seen.

Michelle Williams in Fforme

This is a soothing palate cleanser.

Lily Collins in Saint Laurent

This is not her color, and the makeup is not helping. She needed not to look sallow, and no one could figure it out, apparently.

Christina Aguilera in Salih Balta

What a terrible dress, and yet the heinous crime here is... can we assume that's a wig? Please let's assume it's a wig. She should not have to live with that hair a moment longer.

Olivia Wilde in Erdem

I really don't like this -- it feels like she's in a musical of Pirates of the Caribbean, bankrolled by Anna Wintour -- but WHAT is going on with her head? I actually don't think I've ever liked her hair and makeup strategies, but this is newly bad.

Is it... did she just get a sunburn? Is that the problem?

Oscar Isaac

SILVER FOX ALERT.

Salma Hayek in Gucci

DITTO. This is fine, but I really love the kiss of silver she's kept in the front of her hair.

Chrissy Teigen in Cong Tri, and John Legend

This is fine and maybe kind of forgettable.

Gigi Hadid in David Koma

The teeny tiny keyhole is SO teeny tiny that it looks like a rip.

Gal Gadot in Altuzarra

She looks like a vengeful Mother Superior in a movie about Fashion Nuns.

Naomi Watts

My eyes keep wanting to blur to see if her dress coalesces into an image. Like those old Magic Eye posters.

Katharine McPhee in Leo Lin

This is pretty. I forgot about her. How is she not trying to be on Broadway right now? I feel like in four months she should be angling to replace Lea Michele's replacement in Chess. (Said replacement is JoJo! I'm excited for her. I would actually RATHER see it with her in it. )

Paris Hilton

Too much, somehow.

Ava Max

Not enough.

Orlando Bloom

He's like, "This is a GREAT week not to be with Katy Perry anymore."

Ben Affleck

Ben is just trying to be very serious and thoughtful and Science Is Sexy.

Susan Downey and Robert Downey Jr.

I was not expecting that shirt. I'm not TOTALLY sure it works, but I love the attempt.

Eileen Gu

That's gorgeous. Wow.

Octavia Spencer

I am ready for Academy Award Winner Octavia Spencer to get something else meaty to do. She has a show with Hannah Waddingham coming up, hopefully this summer, and I hope that does the trick.

Echo Quan and Ke Huy Quan

A very cool pair.

Edward Norton and Shauna Robertson

He looks as he always looks; her dress might actually be fantastic?

Lionel Richie

Lionel wants Science to know that he gives it a thumb-up. Only one, though.

Gayle King

And Gayle is there to remind everyone to take at least one lesson on whatever Duolingo for Science is, before they tell everyone they're astronauts.

Time For Celebs To Get Sexy for Science

At the Breakthrough Prize.
