I am almost SHOCKED nobody started a rumor that her dress looks ripped up because of a CATFIGHT because that's what HAPPENS when women have to be near other women.

I almost didn't recognize her, despite KNOWING it was Rose Byrne. I thought Linda Cardellini for a second. (It's the bangs.) I enjoy the idea of this, but not so much the way the bodice looks held together by gaffer tape.

I guess SOMETHING needs to hold up the SURPRISE DEMI-CAPE.

Melissa McCarthy

She got stuck with some really so-so clothes, then started a line to make her own, and FINALLY people woke up and started making things for all humans. She's settled into a more relaxed style now that doesnt look as much like she's being forced to attend a cocktail party for a boss she tolerates.

This came before Pitch Perfect. Rebel's deadpan delivery was very funny; I enjoy her but also -- as I did with Wiig on SNL --find her more effective in careful dosages. That's a great color on her, but her overall style game has upped itself considerably, as you'd expect when someone's fame level ALSO rises.

I feel like Ellie Kemper NOW would have worn pink shoes with this adorable frock.

So I guess someone in her family has a birthday coming up. I'm glad she found something shiny and presumably comfortable.

But that is a LOT of awkward knotting.

Apparently she has been working like CRAZY since she was on Reno 911 with Wendi, and I missed ALL OF IT, so I had no idea she's blonde.

This is the vibe of a teen dragged to a party under duress, who doesn't want to admit to her parents that it's actually kind of okay.

She looks like she thought this was a bridal trade show.
Poster
One thing I enjoy about this is that the three most famous faces -- Wiig, Rudolph, Byrne -- are off to the side, rether than front and center. I don't know WHY that strikes me as neat, but it does keep them from dominating the poster or relegating the others to window-dressing.
Poster
Whereas the French poster for this makes Kristen look like's planning a murder, Melissa McCarthy look like she's a paperboy, and Maya Rudolph look like she's not even there.
