Brie in Monique Lhuillier
This is a LITTLE fanciful for my personal tastes, but I get why Team Brie probably picked it: All the crystals on it do evoke the word "glass," and it is... princessy. That's a very literal connection to the title, but whatever, gotta start somewhere. It looks very pretty in this photo.
But from here it seems a bit more bag-like, and also distractingly translucent.
And, potentially a pain in the neck to wrangle. I think the more I see of it, the more I wonder if it's too overwhelming on her.
Max Greenfield and his wife Tess Sanchez
Max's suit doesn't add up for me, and it's REALLY weird to see Schmidt with stubble and shorter hair. Tess, who is his wife, looks great (shoes notwithstanding). Also, I saw a piece penned by TJ Miller's wife, Kate Miller, in which she complained about people calling her "TJ Miller's wife" because she is more than that. Which is great, and true, but: It is also true that you are married to TJ Miller, and sometimes media outlets need a way to contextualize you in a photo caption. No one's intending to be reductive. [However, when I forgot to come back and fill in her name and a link to her piece, I forgot, which totally undercut my point there. Whoops. It's been corrected. And I should point out that I was just defending outlets like ours, and magazines, who need snappy context; the story she references in her piece WAS being lazy.] And so it is here. Tess is a career lady -- I believe she is a casting director -- but for the purposes of this slideshow, she is also married to Max Greenfield and that is why they are together. We will endeavor to be better and consistent about how we handle it, but if we ever don't, that's why. Sometimes we genuinely don't know the spouse's name.
Brigette Lundy-Paine
I. Love. Her. Shoes. I like the rest of it more than I expected to, as well, except for her candy-coated frosted makeup. But what I like the best is the bio on her IMDb page, which was submitted by her friend, and which I think HAS to be a joke. The bio reads, "Brigette Lundy-Paine is an American Actor and Fashion Icon. She considers her acting career to be a side show to her career as a pop star in the Improvisational Voice Band, 'Subtle Pride.' Brigette's parents, Laura Lundy and Robert Paine, are both performers in the Bay Area. As often is the case with family businesses, Brigette found herself swept into a career as an actor despite her greatest efforts to pursue a life as a scientist." The personal quotes include, "Spiderman... it's a really great idea." And her trivia section states she loves doing dishes, once saw fairies in her garden, and this: "Brigette has kept a diary since a young age. She hopes that, when she's gone, a big Hollywood producer will find said diaries and convert them into a lucrative film franchise based on their content; 'Skine Mole,' 'Skine Mole 2: The Skinequel,' 'Skine Mole: Revenge of Titus' (etc.)."

I like this type of look much better on Brie than the overwrought princess feel of the Lhuillier. That wasn't for her, to my eye; something slightly more structured is better.

And, we get to see Naomi again, along with Jeannette Walls and the director, in service of a peek at Brie's other dress. It's okay. A silhouette that feels more dated than classic, to me, but she looks pretty in it. Amazing that in this slideshow, the outfit of hers I like the best is a cropped top. Call 2014 Heather and tell her; it'll freak her OUT.
