It was the film premiere of 'What Happened In Vegas' last night in Los Angeles, Cameron Diaz made her first major public appearance since the death of her father Emilio last month. Directed by Tom Vaughan and starring Cameron Diaz, Ashton Kutcher, Queen Latifah, Lake Bell, Krysten Ritter and Dennis Farina. The story revolves around two strangers, Jack(Kutcher) and Joy(Diaz), who go to Las Vegas after things aren't going well in their respective lives. They end up getting married after a drunken night of passion and when Jack wins an enormous jackpot playing a slot machine with Joy's quarter, each of them tries to get the other one to end the marriage in order to get the money. Along the way, they start to fall for each other.

Both of these looks are cute and VERY 2008; I have the Banana Republic knock-off of Cameron's dress. All of our "business" dresses were a little short in 2008.

The stars were out in force last night for the Independent Spirit Awards, which took place in a tent on the beach in Santa Monica. The awards, which were hosted by British actor and comedian Steve Coogan, are now in their 23rd year. They recognise top talent from independent film and Hollywood. Comeback king Mickey Rourke proved to be star of the show after winning best male lead for his role as a washed-up prizefighter in ‘The Wrestler’. The actor dedicated his award to his recently deceased Chihuahua Loki, whose picture he wore on a chain around his neck. Melissa Leo scooped best female lead for her role in low-budget film ‘Frozen River’. Penelope Cruz was awarded supporting female for her role in Woody Allen's romantic comedy ‘Vicky Cristina Barcelona’, which also scooped best screenplay. Meanwhile, ‘Milk’gained awards for best supporting male for James Franco and best first screenplay (Dustin Lance Black).

High School Musical 3: Senior Year" has received top marks at the Kids' Choice Awards. The Disney musical was selected as the favourite movie by audience votes at Nickelodeon's 22nd annual event. "High School Musical" star Vanessa Hudgens was also selected as the favourite movie actress. However, it was the slime not the awards that was the most popular part of the evening. The show was kicked off by host Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson zip-lining into a "slime temple" and spraying goo over the audience. Over 90 million viewer votes were cast on Nickelodeon's website for this year's awards.
And while this is somewhat dated, it was PERFECT at the time....and I low-key think this kind of thing is coming back.

'Home' Eco Garden Picnic and Screening at Stella McCartney's Store, Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, America - 05 Jun 2009
The eco-conscious descended on the Stella McCartney's Store in Beverly Hills today in order to celebrate the release of a new environmental film. The likes of Cameron Diaz, Liv Tyler, Emily Deschanel, Katharine McPhee, Rosario Dawson and Daryl Hannah were all out flying the green flag. The bevy of lovely ladies were celebrating the release of new film 'Home', which explores our relationship with nature and our impact on the planet's resources. An English version of the 90-minute film is voiced by Glenn Close, while Salma Hayek narrates a Spanish one. And proving that green can be chic guests at the eco picnic all pulled out the fashion stops. Cameron wowed in a monochrome, flowered patterned mini, while Liv looked lovely in a blue, embellished T-shirt dress.
Brace yourself. This incredibly cute dress is the work of Cameron fave, Stella McCartney.
