Viola is really selling a gown that, at its essence, looks like she tied a napkin around her neck to work as a crumb-catcher.

I am not making a Brenda/Kelly/90210 joke. I have to ration those. Instead, I'll suggest that she's just carrying Viola's backup crumb-catcher in case something truly dire happens.

Joey got this haircut in the midst of Cannes. it's very cute on her (and does seem to be real, and not an illusion). I might've just traded the gloves for a REALLY fancy necklace, but the rest of this seems normal and fine -- high compliments for Miu Miu.

I can't decide whether that backhole would get perilous.

This is fine, and lord knows she loves a big gown. But it's all feeling a bit... 55-year old French Actress at Cannes.

Maybe it's the styling. It's giving Rich Older Lady, which is great when you ARE one.

Stunning. I also think she and Sofia could've traded dresses, to better effect for Sofia and equally pretty effect for Andie.

George got an honorary award; Mellody busted out a truly stupendous frock for it. I love it.

To be clear: This is not from the closing ceremony. But I'm not sure that we covered these two from the Kinds of Kindness premiere, and Jesse won Best Actor at Cannes for this -- but, in a move that makes him seem very normal and cool to me, he didn't stick around Cannes forever to find out; he just went home, or back to work, or whatever. So I tossed this in here just to celebrate. CONGRATS, LANDRY!
