When this was shown [during Paris Fashion Week](https://gofugyourself.com/paris-fugshion-week-valentino-03-2013/valentino-runway-pfw-fw-2013-5?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io), I wrote that it was gorgeous but "a bit eau de pinafore," and that I'd be curious to see if it worked in real life (read: the red carpet, which is the realest context any of these things ever see).
